You may use this website for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
Use the site in any way that is unlawful or harmful
Copy or reproduce any content without permission
Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the site or its related systems
Transmit any unsolicited or unauthorised advertising material
We reserve the right to withdraw or amend content on this website without notice. We do not guarantee that the site will always be available or free from errors.
3. Services
Urvashi Patel Interiors offers residential interior design services including, but not limited to: design consultations, colour consultations, space planning, e-design packages, mood board and concept design, furniture and décor sourcing, home staging consultations, and spatial wellbeing assessments.
All services are subject to availability and are confirmed in writing via a formal Letter of Agreement (LOA) before any design work commences. The LOA sets out the specific scope, fees, deliverables, timelines, and revision rounds agreed for each individual project.
We reserve the right to decline to accept any enquiry or commission at our discretion, without being required to provide a reason.
4. Quotes, Proposals and Agreements
Any price quoted prior to a signed Letter of Agreement is an estimate only and does not constitute a binding offer.
A formal written proposal will be provided following the discovery consultation. This sets out the scope of services, fees, payment terms, timelines, and revision rounds. Work will not commence until the Letter of Agreement has been signed by both parties and the deposit invoice has been paid.
Where a project scope changes after the LOA has been signed, a revised or supplementary agreement will be issued before additional work proceeds.
5. Fees and Payment
Deposit
A non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total agreed fee is required upon signing the Letter of Agreement. Work will not begin until this deposit has been received.
Final payment
The remaining balance is due prior to the delivery of final design documents unless otherwise agreed in the Letter of Agreement.
Invoices
All invoices are payable within 14 days of the invoice date unless otherwise stated. We reserve the right to pause work and withhold delivery of design files if an invoice remains unpaid beyond this period.
Late payment
We reserve the right to charge interest on overdue amounts in accordance with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998, at a rate of 8% above the Bank of England base rate.
VAT
All prices are quoted exclusive of VAT. Urvashi Patel Interiors is not currently VAT registered. Should this change, clients will be notified accordingly.
Sourcing commission
Where a sourcing service is included, a commission of 10–15% of the total supplier spend is applied. This is disclosed in the Letter of Agreement before any orders are placed.
6. Cancellation and Withdrawal
By the client
If you wish to cancel a project after the Letter of Agreement has been signed, you must notify us in writing. The non-refundable deposit will be retained. Any work completed or costs incurred beyond the deposit at the point of cancellation will be invoiced and must be paid within 14 days.
By Urvashi Patel Interiors
We reserve the right to withdraw from a project in exceptional circumstances — including, but not limited to, non-payment, conduct that makes continued collaboration impractical, or circumstances beyond our reasonable control. In such cases, we will provide written notice and invoice for all work completed to that point.
7. Revisions
The number of revision rounds included in each project is specified in the Letter of Agreement. Revisions must be submitted in writing and consolidated into a single round where possible.
Changes that materially alter the original brief — including changes to scope, scheme direction, or key design decisions — may be treated as additional work and invoiced separately. We will notify you before proceeding with any out-of-scope revisions.
8. Intellectual Property and Design Ownership
All design concepts, mood boards, visual schemes, drawings, renders, and other materials created by Urvashi Patel Interiors remain the intellectual property of the studio until all outstanding fees have been paid in full.
Upon receipt of full payment, the client is granted a non-exclusive licence to use the delivered design materials for the purposes of their home project only. This licence does not extend to commercial use, publication, or sub-licensing without our prior written consent.
We reserve the right to use images of completed projects and design work for our portfolio, website, and social media, unless you have requested otherwise in writing prior to the commencement of work.
9. Third-Party Suppliers and Sourcing
Where sourcing services are provided, we act as an agent on your behalf in placing orders with third-party suppliers. We take reasonable care in recommending quality suppliers, but we are not responsible for:
Delays, errors, or failures on the part of third-party suppliers
Damage to or defects in goods supplied by third parties
Price changes by suppliers after an order has been confirmed
Any guarantees, warranties, or returns are subject to the individual supplier's terms and conditions. We will assist in liaising with suppliers where issues arise, but liability remains with the supplier.
10. Limitation of Liability
Urvashi Patel Interiors carries Professional Indemnity Insurance. Within the scope of this insurance, we accept responsibility for errors or omissions directly attributable to our professional advice or design work.
We are not liable for:
Loss or damage arising from your reliance on information on this website, which is provided for general informational purposes only
Any indirect, consequential, or incidental losses arising from the use of our services
Decisions made by contractors, builders, or other third parties based on our design recommendations
Loss or damage to existing structures, furnishings, or finishes during implementation by third parties
Our total liability to you in connection with any project shall not exceed the total fees paid by you for that project.
11. Confidentiality
We treat all client information with the utmost discretion. We will not share details of your home, project, or personal circumstances with any third party except where necessary to deliver the agreed services (for example, when placing sourcing orders on your behalf).
Likewise, we ask that clients treat any proprietary design methods, pricing structures, and supplier relationships shared during a project as confidential.
12. Data Protection
We collect and process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018. Full details of how we handle your data are set out in our Privacy Policy, available at www.urvashipatel.com.
